Today I ended up just working on the new blog we're suppose to be making. Currently I have everything done for it except my banner a work in progress.
The banner is just a girl going across the page with her hair emphasized then I'll be adding in some lettering for the banner.

Helmet *In-progress*
So now I'm working on the helmet ta-da!
It's coming along okay but I did get distracted by my teacher teaching us about gadgets and how we should add them onto our little blog. I found all kinds of gadgets even a Greek mythology one.

Salt Shaker? (complete)
I'm still not very sure how that shape's a salt shaker (I see it as a birdie) but, I finished it very close to the picture. It was quite simple to make with little to no frustration. I'd like to use the circles more to see what other things I can shape with them.
Now I guess it's time to move onto the helmet which all I gotta say is.

Mr.Egghead (complete)
My Mr.Egghead was a little weird for me. I was sculpting everything okay and then I got to the nose. The nose was very frustrating for me because I couldn't manipulate it exactly as I wanted it too. I found it a lot easier to do in mudbox than maya.
Eventually I got over it and just played around with the pinching some more and ended up with a better nose be it an over exaggerated one that you'd see in on the villain's of Disney films.Egg Cup *Complete*
Well surprisingly enough the next three projects were a lot easier than I thought they were going to be. I had the most fun just shifting around the vertexes to see all the different kind of cup I could end up making before making it it's egg cup form.
After I shaped it like I wanted it I went back in to test of different materials on the cup to mess with it's look. I ended up setting it to a dark brown blinn material.
In the end I got chocolate egg cup. Now if only that could be real.
Extrude Along a Path *Complete*
This is my finished extrude project. I was going crazy when I couldn't figure out how to hide my CV lines but, eventually I got it. The Outliner and I are now best friends because of it. The hardest thing was attempting to make the pointed ends because the taper didn't want to do what I wanted. It still reminds me of Davey Jone's beard though.

Temple *complete*
The finished product of my temple project in Maya. The little antena on the top was really annoying to do since i didn't want to go into the middle of the whole temple. I understood everything that was taught to me but, I still want more practice with duplicating objects then positioning them where I want them to go.

Why did I join this class in the first place?
I joined this class because.....I love technology (Techno geek dance). I've been very interested in technology and all it can be used for since my Robotics Programming class back in middle school. It was always so fun learning how to use different programs to do anything from designing new machines to the CGI in movies to animation. I'm very artistic too so as you'd guess what I really want to do is create things via maya\mudbox\photoshop. Eventually I want to become an animator/concept artist.
